  • The Middle East (West Asia) is not a continent. It is a loosely defined region with no clear boundaries. Some definitions of it include parts of Northern Africa.
  • Armenia globe icon and Azerbaijan globe icon have long been associated with the Middle East but some sources now consider them part of Europe based on their economic and political trends. This, of course, would be based on political and economic definitions, not on a physical definition.
  • Georgia globe icon and Cyprus globe icon are part of Europe, but are included in this quiz because they were cut off on the Europe quiz.
  • Kazakhstan globe icon is part of Asia but not generally considered part of the Middle East.
