As a result, the length measurements of many rivers are only approximations. Having said that, these are the top 5 rivers in length according to Wikipedia:
• 1. Nile-Kagera 6,853 kms (4,258 miles)
• 2. Amazon – Ucayali – Apurimac 6,992 kms (4,345 miles)
• 3. Yangtze 6,300 kms (3,917 miles)
• 4. Mississippi – Missouri – Jefferson 6275 kms (3,902 miles)

• The longest river in the UK is the Severn at 354 kms. The Thames is 346 kms.
